Omar Carraglia, 2014
Charles Omar Carraglia for Davide Groppi showcases the old bulbs to enhance the new LED technology: the screen OLED. In a case of wood, metal and acrylic, lit to OLED, the true stars are four, old, different bulbs.
Omar Carraglia plays with light, here with modern and more advanced lighting technology, comparing it with the old. OLED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode or the organic light emitting diode. Technology that allows to realize a color display with the ability to emit its own light, very thin and rollable: OLED displays conduct current in one direction only, thus behaving in a similar way to a diode; hence the name of O-LED, for similarity with the LED.
